Meet Jim Contreras
Friendly. Reliable. Professional.
Your Host. Your Karaoke Guy.
Jim has spent his entire life building things the right way. Now he's building unforgettable nights across the East Valley.
Known for his energy, warm personality, and ability to make guests feel comfortable on the mic, Jim brings a personal touch to every event. He's not just a karaoke host — he's the guy who makes strangers feel like friends and turns shy guests into confident singers.
When you hire State 48 Karaoke, you're not hiring a random DJ — you're hiring someone who treats your event like it's his own.
What Sets Jim Apart
Always On Time
Jim arrives 45–60 minutes early. Everything is set up, sound-checked, and ready before the first guest walks in.
Pro-Grade Sound
No cheap speakers, no feedback squeal. Jim uses professional PA systems and premium wireless mics.
Fully Bilingual
Jim hosts seamlessly in English and Spanish. Songs, announcements, crowd work — todo en español también.
Licensed & Legal
Every track in the 100,000+ catalog is properly licensed. No pirated files, no compliance issues for venues.
Backup Everything
Spare mics, extra cables, a backup laptop. Jim prepares for anything so your event runs without a hitch.
Clean Setup & Takedown
Labeled cables, gaff-taped runs, organized gear. Jim leaves your space exactly the way he found it.
